Haven't been on here for quite some time. Nice to see some familiar names.

Anyway my question is: Does anyone else have this? When I use dental floss next to my teeth with fillings the string comes out silver colored where it touched the filling.

I also wear retainers (like the invisalign braces) and the plastic is discolored a dark silver almost black where the teeth with fillings sits. My husband also wears retainers and he has fillings but they are not discolored.
Why would mine do that and not his???

I know most are going to recommend getting them out but I just don't know if I can afford that right now.

BTW, did Dr. C's protocol and feeling about 95% back to my old self. A few days here and there only about 50%. No abx right now just a few supplements.

Take care everyone!

I haven't noticed the problem with floss, but my mouthguard is discolored in one place where there is a large amalgam filling. Dentist said nothing to worry about. I don't believe him, but don't plan to do anything about it -- yet.
