Not sure why he would put you on Amox,(unless your pregnant). Amox weakly passes through the blood brain barrier, basically not the best drug for getting into the brain.
I was on amox alot of times through out my life and never got a response from it. But everyone is different. Doxy or Mino is usually the choice drug to start on.
Sometimes some people need more then one drug but, like I said everyone is different and have different co-infections.
I just found out I have Bart too, my LLMD said what I was taking is great for hitting lyme & bart. I'm on Mino 200mg a WEEK. I am doing great on this dose and have been improving alot since I was first treated.

Yes thats why I said (unless your pregnant)So your on the right drug! Stay with it.
I nursed all of my sons... Not knowing I had lyme at the time. I would definately keep an eye on your baby and possibly treat him/her or get him/her tested. Because lyme could of been passed through birth, congenitally.
All of my sons have lyme and have been on abx for a year now. They are doing good, with still some bad days.
I believe I was born with lyme also, and my two other sisters. My mom was bit a year before my oldest sister was born.... I was three years later. My mom last year finally got a positive lyme test and is being treated after years and years of horrible illnesses.

You need to peak and trough on Amoxicillin to make sur eyour doses are high enough! Why are you nursing a baby if you have known Lyme disease? I am not bashing, just asking a logical question. Lyme patients are advised NOT to breast feed due to the risk of pasing the infection on to the baby. Did you treat during your pregnancy? hope so!
