I am not talking about in place of Abx... but for someone like myself with chronic Lyme, currently in remission, no abx at the moment... (I've had lyme for 22 years).... I don't have the book, but just considering it and wonder if it is worth the money?? Thanks again

Amy -- I dunno how good the protocol is; too soon to get feedback yet. I'm about to finish abx -- my doc agreed it's a good idea to stop (I'm almost sx free, but for the horrendous fatigue) and try Buhner's protocol. So my LLMD is taking it seriously, anyway.
The book is a great read, with a lot of information about the disease itself as well as the politics and treatment issues surrounding LD.
The protocol is exhaustively described, as are the attributes of the herbs he recommends and exactly whhat to take.
The book could be better organized (a few checklists would be nice) but I went through it with a highligher and a notepad and wrote down the bits of the protocol that applied to me, so now I have a good 1/2 page list of what I need to know.
BTW, Buhner makes a point of saying that while he feels abx in general are grossly over-used, he sees them as being an important factor in treating LD.
