The bottom of my heels are sore, not the front part or middle part of my soles, just the heel part that hits the ground.

Is that Lyme?

Check out plantar fasciitis (sometimes spelled with the double ii, sometimes not). Sounds like what you are describing. My foot pain is more generalized.

And yes, I've heard many people on here describe it as a Lyme symptom, i.e. got it along with other Lyme symptoms.

Regards,
Shaz

I've been going through this exact thing for the last several months. The heel pain eventually spread through the bottom of my feet.

I had been listening to a CD of a speech by a famous ILADS doctor who said that heel pain is a common Lyme symptom.

I started developed the heel, then sole pain, about two years into treatment, and after beginning Bart treatment.

Are you already in treatment? My LLMD said that my heel and sole pain can be die-off of Lyme because Lyme hides in areas that don't get much circulation and oxygen. Now that I'm on intramuscular antibiotics, he believes we are penetrating some areas that the orals didn't reach. So basically, my feet are herxing, causing inflammation of the fascia of the feet (for a feeling like plantar fasciitis)

But also, sore soles can be Bartonella, so if your heel pain spreads to your soles, you might want to discuss with your LLMD whether he/she thinks it's Lyme or Bart.
