i haven't heard about this book before. it's not brand-new, though; i ran across it on a lyme site. i read so many, i can't remember where i read anything.
i was unable to get it from any of my local library systems, nor could they find it with "interlibrary loan".
who has read it? was it full of good information, do you think? thanks, dianne
(too poor because of many years of chronic illness, to afford to buy it....)

It's a very good book. I also highly recommend "Everything You Need To Know About Lyme Disease" by Karen Vanderhoof-Forschner - lots of specific info about Lyme.

I picked up the book on intuition-before I was even diagnosed with Lyme-then bit by bit I found myself being diagnosed with the same "misdiagnoses" in the book .
It was like I was haunted by the different stories-and they all started to fit my own picture. It basically is what convinced me to seek the opinion of an LLMD.
All the "specialists" I went to brushed off my concerns that my symptoms could be LYME related. Guess what ! I got to an LLMD and tested positive for Lyme. Now I am being properly treated, not only with antibiotics and supplements-but also with respect.
If you pm me with more information I will be glad to mail it to you.

One of the GREAT books on Lyme disease...unless you're looking for science and treatment advice.
But as a book that accounts for the wholesome picture of diagnosing and living with this disease, it's the best book that I know of.
Also the book gives an excellent portrayal of the political scene surrounding Lyme and it covers various age groups too, which is highly useful if you have a child or an elderly who's suffering.

-------------------- I'm not an MD. The above is IMO and in my experience as well as from health related books.
I've had symptoms consistent with neurological Lyme disease since 1986. Was diagnosed with Lyme in 2004. Am feeling better now than ever before. Posts: 702 | From NY | Registered: Jul 2004
