Good Morning All,
Im getting ready to see my GP this afternoon.My good friend is a nurse practitioner told me I shouldnt take tinidazole with doxy.I am ready now to add to my regimine with the help of a willing doc but now feel unsure what to add.I cant find on DR Bs treatment protocol if those 2 can be taken together.
Can any of you all offer some suggestions?

Here's a previous thread about it:

Flagyl and Doxy are often given in combo together. Many on this board have used them with success. Remember that Dr B is not the final authority. That's why they are called "Guidelines"

Sorry. Never heard of that. I took both doxy and tini for over a year along with other meds and it really helped.

Herxed big time on this comb. Is it He thinks your germ load is too high right now to add the tini?

I think my nurse girl friend may not have remembered I have been on doxy now 100 2x a day for going on 2.5 years and now 200mgs 2x aday 2. months and i need to go onward and upward.Should I begin pulsing in some MWF 500mgs and see what happens or start lower at 250mgs MWF. Thanks for your help .This is tough by myself.

The combination of Doxy + Azith with 5 day pulses of either Tinidazole or Flagyl is standard on the Vanderbilt protocol for Chlamydia pneumoniae and is used often over a couple of years of treatment. So it doesn't make sense to me that this combo is proscribed.
