This was my first "symptom" if you will. Hit me out of the blue. At first I had no idea what was going on. Vision was blurry and distant, made worse by standing or busy places. I felt "disconnected" with my surroundings visually, I was in a fog. Anyone else have/had this? If so, what was the culprit, and what helped you shake it?

Derealization and depersonalization are actually pretty common experiences for Lymies. I had it on and off for years.

What shook it was treatment for Bb, although the TBDs (coinfections) may have also played a role. I did not try any drugs specifically for it, although I did take prozac for 3 months at one point to deal with severe depression.

I can't specifically remember if CSM helped, but it may be that treating for neurotoxins (there are a variety of ways to do this) along with LD/Co treatment may help.

You can find more information in write ups by Dr. Virginia Sherr, and at links such as http://www.columbia-lyme.org/flatp/lymeoverview.html

There are also some posts if you search on "derealization, depersonalization" on lymenet.

Best of luck. It does pass, but it's extremely unpleasant and unnerving while it lasts.
