I use them. One in the day and it seems to give me more energy. I tryed wearing them at night but they kept me awake.

Use to slap 2-3 of them on when I was herxing bad/detoxing and it did make a difference.

Some people have said it helps them sleep better.
Just goes to show, what works for one person doesn't work the same way for everyone else.

I have to give the foot pads...two thumbs up. [Smile]

hey radio girl

I use the gold ones I get them at http://www.healthmarvels.net

The original podi patche's where too pricey for me and not that much better.

Have been using them for a while now. They don't turn as dark as before. They can leak so I wear an extra layer of sock on one foot.It is skicky when you take the patch off, but wash's off pretty easy with soap & water.

There been alot of posts on these. You may want to do a search to read other's opinions

Take care

I have used these several times and I did feel some benefit from them, but at the same time wondered if it was just coincedence. They reduced the amount of lymphatic swelling (large nodes) for me on several occassions, so I think they are worth a try.

They can be pricey so I dont' use them often. My husband doesn't like the smell of them in the morning. They feel gross in the morning if you forget they are on your feet and walk on them.

Let us know if you decide to try them and how they work out. I am curious about the opinions of others on this product. My doctor told me about some kind of ionic foot bath that is supposed to help to detox in a similar manner. Haven't gotten around to that one yet.

We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand... and melting like a snowflake. Let us use it before it is too late.

"Hi Radio Girl!
you wrote:

"I had a friend that did the ionic foot baths and it turned out to be a fraud."

I was just wondering where you heard this. A few of us are doing this. I wanted to hear what report had to day about this? For my own education.

I have done these baths and believe me the stuff that comes out is unbelievable. We have it done for $20.00 each time we go. (we have not purchased one)

Lymph drainage, joint stuff and gall bladder.
You can have liver stuff too. It is amazing, you can feel it pull.

I am not sure for how long one needs to be doing this though. Everywhere I go, everyone talks about infra red sauna. So, I am thinking about purchasing one for detoxing.

I just ordered the book
"The Hundred-Year Lie : How Food and Medicine Are Destroying Your Health"
Randall Fitzgerald; Hardcover

I might wait to read this first.

i, too, heard they were a fraud. if you look up on the internet, they will explain it.

apparently you can get the same results by putting a small battery in water or something. someone else can help me out here, as i majored in english and not anything remotely related to science.

anyway there is a science project where they do this.

i stopped going after they charged almost 100 bucks for this.

radiogirl,

My story's similar to Dana's. I started using the foot pads at the suggestion of my LLMD. I'd never heard of them and was skeptical. The ones I first tried were very expensive. More, the odor was too hard for me to handle (I've got olfactory sensitivity thanks to Lyme).

So I switched to the ones found on healhmarvels.net. They have a lot of different pads, and I had to initially experiment to find the pads that worked best for my particular symptoms.

I've been using them for a year. At first, it was every night. Now, I use them several times a week. I feel they have reduced swelling in some of my joints; they help me sleep more soundly, and I do think they are an aid to detox.

Like everything else on this site, though, they seem to work more effectively for some people than for others.

In my case after a year, they're still as nasty in the morning as they were the very first time I used them. But then I had undx Lyme for 9 years and a lot of bacteria in me.

Hope this helps!

Andie

I saw a TV news show on the footbaths that demonstrated you'd get the same dark results without even sticking your feet in it, due to chemical reactions in the substances, so I'm inclined to think any benefits are more likely from placebo effect. (But, hey, with the mind/body connection as strong as it is, whatever works, works for you.) I got little reaction or change on the pads when I used some of the the detox footpads, but I think you need to sweat to activate them, and my feet don't sweat much at all.

Just as a test, I gave a healthy friend several of the foot pads and asked her to try them for a night.

By the next day, she had almost no reaction.

As I said, mine are still yucky after a year.

We use the podi patches on my 14 year old daughter on the recommendation of her LLMD. In the morning, they are always filled with brown sticky goo. I've used them myself a few times (I'm not a lymie)--they're always brownish, but not as gooey as hers are.

I feel they helped me. My LLMD also recommended them.

Once I am able to afford them again, I do plan on using them again.

I felt I had more energy while using them. I was sleeping better then too.

My bf just started using the podi patches 2 nights ago. So far, he says they are coming off very dark, and he is sleeping 12 hours a night.

For those of you who've used them, in your experience, how long did it take to start noticing positive effects (other than deep sleep)? We're wondering how long a sufficient trial is. I know it's different for everyone, but...

Also, is it alright to walk around on them?

Thanks!

Aviva
