My daughter has it, too. But, she is on zith and rifampin. She has been taking digestive enzymes and colon cleanse herbal supplements and drinking a detox tea.
Could be meds? Herx?

Hi Newdurham77
What are you eating?
Are you taking the tetra on an empty stomach?
Are you taking the tetra with at least 8oz's of water?
When this happens to me I stick to soups for a while.
Hope you can feel better soon

I've had this for a while.
Keep track of any other abdominal pain. I've developed a chronic pancreatitis, and my LLMD thinks that is causing the nausea. The signs of pancreatitis are increase in the enzyme levels and right abdominal pain. So don't freak out because I've got it.
It could also be food sensitivities. You can keep a detailed diary of what you eat and see if certain things make it worse. Other things you can do is an elimination diet, where you cut almost all foods out of your diet and slwowly add them in.
I had an ELISA-ACT test (different than a Lyme Elisa) to test for food sensitivities. I've had a huge reduction in nausea from cutting lemon out of my diet, which was a sensitivity.
I still get nauseous. I've had to stop the anti-yeast diet because I can't eat without starch. I also need to keep fat very low.

I had this - my LLMD suspected Babesia...Bartonella and Babesia love the GI tract. Have you been checked for these co-infections?
Of course it can be other things too, Lyme, candida, other pathogens etc. A 'great smokies lab' stool test can pin point bugs in the gut although not Bartonella/Lyme /Babesia and it is quite expensive.
Ginger can help nausea - maybe try putting a piece of ginger in a garlic crusher and squeezing out the juice etc ?
I eat crushed garlic to help my gut but it very often causes nausea although it regulates the bacteria
