Has anyone heard of the modified marshall Protocal? I started going to this doctor because someone told me that they were feeling better after 3 months than they ever had during the 7 years of Lyme. He is also very close to my house.
This Doctor also does not ask you to avoid sunlight or Vitamin D. Just caffeine, sugar, smoking, drinking, and of course drugs.
I am on Benicar and on an antibiotic every other day. I also do different IV's every week.
Others on the MP told me that they don't think it will work if I don't avoid sunlight and Vit. D.
He is going to be more expensive than my last doctor so I am now really confused on who I should go with.
Please let me know what you know about the modified program or the MP and feel free to give me any advice you can.
Thanks! Hope

There are some people who do a modified MP and do quite well with it. But it is hard to say how you will do. Everyone is so different. But I will say that if I decided to try the MP, it would DEFINATELY be modified. And I would stay well clear of the MP site, all it is, is negative and controlling.
Keep us posted on how you do.
Best, Karen

I did a modification of the MP for about 7 months or so. It actually helped me feel a lot better. My LLMD specified that I didn't have to avoid sunlight or Vit D. While I found the modified plan helpful, I was not a fan of the Benicar. It made me very dizzy and lightheaded, and I almost blacked out quite a few times. It was definitely not a fun side effect.
