I got a bottle of Mepron in Nov. 05, there is no exp. date on the bottle. Is it still good?
Also, for those who take mepron what is the usaual length of time taken for babesia?

I would call your pharmacist and tell he/she when you got it filled and ask for the experation date. Better safe than sorry.
Time for treatment can vary by such things as your tolerance of medication and severity of coinfections. Ask your doctor in terms of what he/ she believes will be your treatment time.

I am treating self because I lost medicaid benifits. I went back and looked at past protocols on mepron. One was for a month and the other was for 3 weeks so I will try for a month and add minocycline on third week. I should have enough abx to last a year, including refills on the inexpensive ones. I will see my GP once every two months and have my labs done. That will give me 2 years on abx which should be more than enough time to kill Bb if it is there. They do say 18 months!
Sound like a good plan? And thanks for the response I am calling my pharmacist now.
