God put ticks on the earth so that man would have to decide between right and wrong.
Is it right or wrong to overlook scientific evidence to promote your own view?
Is it right or wrong to listen carefully to a patient and try to help them?
Is it right or wrong to deny payment for a medical bill to someone who has consistenly paid their insurance premium for years?
As in all things....man is given a choice. A choice to choose right or wrong.
We who have lyme can also choose right or wrong. Do we slander the doctors who do us wrong, or do we rise above their poor behavior and try to enlighten them?
Do we get up each morning and choose to persevere through our day with a good attitude in spite of the fact that our bodies hurt everywhere and our life is not what it once was?
On my calendar for today is the following: Even the storms bear a message of encouragement for us: Deeper roots make for stronger lives.
Lyme disease helps us see what is evil and what is good in the world. We should strive to do good, in the midst of our pain.
However, if I see a tick, I will not follow the commandment "Thou shalt not kill" I trust God will forgive me.

all things feel in nature and so did they. The day, if you believe in a Christian God and want to start this, has not come when "The lion will lay down with the sheep."

HE invented them to get rid of all of us bad people on the earth.
Just kidding of course. IF you have done your research, you will find that even Mosquitos did NOT orginally suck blood. They were vegetarians like EVERYTHING was on the earth, INCLUDING man.
However, the WHOLE system has gone down the tubes the last few thousand years, and everything is out of balance NOW.
Like the good book says: "They will grow faint out of fear, NOT knowing the way out".

Folks, Therminator is correct. This is not a medical question or issue in the strict sense...this thread belongs in General.
My feelings are the "God" had nothing to do with ticks...evolution and natural selection did.
To think that a loving God, and this is open to debate...could put such evil things on earth does not make sense.
Things happen...do not blame God or use God as an excuse for all that happens. Religion really does not belong on Lymenet...I am sure there are plenty of religious boards on the internet for this purpose. What we need here is LYME DISEASE information.

I did not post this but I wonder if there would need to even be a MEDICAL if it were not for these damn ticks..
Perhaps the question could be stated (so no one is offended), like: why do ticks exist? I think that is really what chronic lyme was getting at.
And ticks and their diseases are why any of us are here or on any of the forums be it medical or other.
I have read many posts that might do better on another forum but there is no need for such anger here.

listen guys i have been posting on this board for over 5 years and have only had 1 complaint from lou about my posts. Prior to having a large fight last year about a troll, I did most of the dental consulting for the group. I did not want to leave, but many did , because of all the nonsense last year, many never came back.
THIS WAS POSTED AS A THEORETICAL JOKE, LIGHTEN UP AND AD A LITTLE HUMOR TO YOUR LIFE. THEREMENATOR LIGHTEN UP, HOW WOULD YOU KNOW WHAT BELONGS AND WHAT DOESN'T YOU'VE ONLY BEEN HERE LESS THAN A YEAR.. get a grip group or your going to lose alot more old timers that are still here but under aliases because of the pettiness of this group.
Plus i really wanted to know what place tics place in the food chain of the world and what effect it would have to eradicate them
lighten up good people, smoke a joint , be happy, or have some tainted brownies. PEACE!!

Actually, ticks and poison ivy are a lot alike. Both need global warning and increased carbon dioxide levels to propogate and make all of us miserable. No telling what other creatures can benefit from that combination. When all of the arguments ensued a few months ago, I backed off reading this board. It was too TOXIC for my spirit which has been fragile since obtaining this disease!
And furthermore...if God gets censured on this board like he has in a lot of places, (which I don't see happening) I can guaren-dang-tee ya, this will no longer be a board about TRUE healing!!!
Whether you believe or not, doesn't make the truth any less so!!! Mind, body, spirit are intertwined.
THAT SAID, WHAT CAME FIRST...THE TICK OR LYME DISEASE?????

Alan or Tjerminator, I used to feel that way, but it seems that everything ends up getting answered anyway. I have learned to go with the flow. But, your recent post in here seems a bit extreme. You should care what other people believe because that is how we accept, understand and respect others.

The blame game won't work. We tried to kill them - it failed. The microbes are not our enemy - they have always been with us. We altered the environment so severely. Lyme Disease is a messenger. We need to change. We need to change now. Or before too long, we will be on the endangered species list.
Take care.
