Hey there! Just want an update on how everyone is doing on this product this week? I still haven't totally made my mind up about trying it-doing more research first.

Thanks.

I'm still using mine. I still have more energy, less pain, sleeping all night and allergies are better.

I've been on it since.....hmmm..... 2-1/2 months I'm guessing?

Hey nal

For what it's worth I just found out about diet and gastritis from my GI duck this week.

No fruit juices at all.

No raw veggies.
.
No tea's,coffee, tomatoe based foods, chocolate, garlic or caffine.

Also have to be careful with cereals that are too high in fiber .

I googled it and also talked to other people with gastritis to confirm. It's basically the same as an ulcer diet. Nothing acidic.

I am to stick to a very bland diet till the gastritis heals.

My mom had to do this diet for months. I have been told it takes the stomach a very long time to heal......... Sigh [Frown]

Hope this helps

I ran out of Xango and two people gave me Vemma which is similar, so I am going to try that. Can't knock what's free. It does have mangosteen juice and some carbs. Also comes with a bottle of liquid minerals, which my stomach absorbs easier than a mineral pill. It will be interesting to see how the two compare.

Hiker: Good luck with it. It does NOT contain the whole fruit puree, which is what you need to get ALL the xanthones and enzymes.

I won't knock what's free either, but just don't believe their lies.

Hey Nancy,

Speaking of an ulcer diet like Dana mentioned, sauerkraut has long been a folk remedy for ulcers, and fermented veggies are used by many Lymies and other people with illness because these foods contain naturally occuring probiotics and help heal the gut.

I know that eating sauerkraut is probably about the most unappealing thing to you at the moment, and I hope that just the mention of it hasn't been yucky for you.

But I do buy the completely natural sauerkraut at the health food store (I think it's the Gold Mine brand) that's supposed to be chocked full of healthy support for the GI tract. Many people make their own fermented veggies but I haven't done that.

And yes, I know the candida diet prohibits fermented foods, but I'm on so many diets (gluten-free, etc), I don't know what's left anymore!!!

How much Xango do most people take per day? Hubby has been taking about 3 oz. per day and hasn't seen a change. Is that not enough?

I agree Jill. If I had to follow all the diets recommended to me I would strictly be drinking water and eating grass-literally.

If I can stomach the saurkraut, I may try that. My dr would love for me to drink freshly squeezed cabbage juice and it makes me sick every time I think about it and that taste is awful!

Our family has been trying Xango for month and a half.

I am feeling very well. It is tricky to tell with flares and herxes and all what is going on.

My kids are sicker than me and it is hard to tell there also.

So overall I am positive. I am especially intrigued by the research that shows antibiotic and antiparasitic properties.

I am struggling over what dose to take and give to kids. I have heard 4 ounces a day if you are ill. That is $400 a month so I am trying to figure out if this much is necessary or if we can get benefit from lower dose.

Any opinions?

Char

Thats a good question Nancy and Char-how do you know how much of it to take??

Im scared it will burn a whole right through my stomach though given all the problems I am having there. I just wish I could concrete proof that it works on gastritis.

I've been using Xango for much of the two years I've been in Lyme treatment. It was recommended by a Lyme naturopath I had seen for several months (I was seeing a Lyme MD at the same time and still just see the MD). The naturopath felt strongly that Xango was beneficial to Lyme patients as well as to patients with some other diseases. My Lyme MD knows I use it.

Personally, I've never felt a burst of energy or a noticeable change in symptoms on it. But I feel it's a good antioxidant, and if it does have the purported other natural antibiotic or anti-inflammatory properties, all the better.

The naturopath had me on two ounces - one in the morning and one in the evening, unless I was feeling particularly ill or toxic or dealing with other issues on top of Lyme. Then I'd go up to about four ounces a day. I still take it, but not large amounts.

I've heard of cancer patients drinking a half to a full bottle a day, but that's anecdotal from some sources I trust, not something I've witnessed.

I really don't know if it would be good or bad for gastritis. I don't know anyone who has used it for that.

I take 2 ounces 3 times a day. Thankfully, it tastes wonderful so I'm always thinking - is it time yet? Instead of - yuck - gotta take it again.

It is supposed to heal stomach issues and it actually has helped my candida - gastritis - whatever it is that causes the pain.

The cancer challenge is where you take a bottle a day for 21 days - hence, the 21 day cancer challenge.

I have a lady who has bone cancer - severe - they've sent her home to die basically and she is feeling better on it. Now I don't know if it will heal her but she loves it because its making her quality of life better.

She has her husband on it too and he is feeling better. They are in their 80's.

She isn't doing the 21 day challenge but is taking 2 ounces 3 times a day.

Nal,

My daughter with significant stomach trouble is not having trouble with it, as I can tell.

I started her on one ounce. recently upped to 4 ounces trying to get the antibiotic and antiparasitic benefits. She had trichenosis last yr. Was treated, but still concerned about this and other parasites.

Why do you think it will affect adversely? Has it given you trouble? My daughter tolerates a little juice in general-this isn't acidy, I don't think.

Ok, I bit the bullet and I am buying a bottle. A lady in my chiro's office sells it.

Im only trying one bottle first because I do not know how my stomach will react to it since I cant tolerate juice in general.

Wish me luck!

One of mangosteen's main uses is for stomach ailments of all sorts....acid reflux included. I know people who suffered from the above for years and they had it disappear in a few DAYS on the product.

go here for more info...there are many discussions by drs ... Look also in the "Library" ...[click on the upper right hand corner]
