I have posted a similar question b4 4 those of you who saw it. It was about my nails and how I have ridges both vertically and horizontally on them. If anyone else has this as well please let me know this too.
My hands are also different now since I have been sick. They are very pale and have very thin skin almost making them look wrinkled and of course I have these fingertips that when I press on things they seem to go flat.
I did not receive a b ig response last time I wrote about this and was wondering if this is a sign of Lyme or something completely seperate of my Lyme??
Advice???
Thanks! Hope

Have thin skin and dark bulging veins. Have the hands of an old lady. Although I am too thin right now and could account for things. Also more brown spots left over from my IV days.
And also in the last year, red palms.
Not much in the way of ridges.
I figure there are more important things to worry about now than my ugly old lady hands
Can't say this is a sign of lyme or not.

Right there with you! My nails aren't too bad, but your description of your hands could be of mine. It's all developed in one year of treatment, for me.
I've wondered if it could be dehydration, but I drink like a camel, so doubt it.
Have you had an IV in the back of your hand recently? Ooooo, I have, and wow, have I become a tricky stick for the nurses! That's a new one on me, too.
Will be interested to see other replies.

My sister has told me she has the "flat fingertips." She has autoimmune disease, systemic sclerosis, whatever, but hasn't been properly tested for Lyme.

Thanks for your response. Thankfully, I havent had an IV in my hand for sometime. I am usually getting them in my arm. I too will be interested in seeing if we get other responses. I do hope so!
Carol, I have never heard of the autoimmune disease your sister has. Have they ever thought about testing her for Lyme as well?
Take care both of you! Hope
