I've been on babs treatment for over 3 months. The tissue and muscles around my abdomen feel really weird when pressed...almost like it's not part of me. It's not really that painful but rather tight and a little bloated. This is especially apparent in the sitting position as the abdomen is folded. This seems to have gotten worst as my treatment continued. My doc wasn't quite sure what it was and my blood tests came back normal. I guess I'm wondering is this from babs die off or is there something that I am missing?

Thanks!

Yes...

You're gonna get many pains and such for no apparent reason....

Then of course you could be developing sever gastritis which is common among we lymies.

Could be yeast....

Could also be something called "bells pawlsey of the gut"....
This is a more recent explanation for uncommon symptoms surrounding the stomach.

Hope this helps...or do a search on the gut thingy....zman

Hi jwenny,

I've been going through a third round of treatment for about a month now. I'm having the same exact pain/feeling that you are, in my stomach. I'm having pain in most of the left side--headache, neck, weird stomach thing.

It didn't start until about 2.5 weeks after taking abx. Hope this helps you feel like you're not alone.

Crazy disease...

Yep. Got it. It's totally weird but I have all kinds of weird stuff.

It feels like my lower abdomen "isn't there" or is "disconnected" from my body. It's not numb, I have feeling there. It's very odd to describe. I have twitching too in that area.

I've been on treatment for 4.5 months. This symptom started a couple months ago.

Thanks Zman, Bp and Patti for all your responses!

Are you on babesia treatment? My feeling is this is related to babs die but not too sure. Those areas had more pain at the start of treatment but seems more like dead tissue after more than 3 months of treatment. But the feeling when pressed doesn't seem to be going away....in fact it is expanding to tissue in the rib area. It doesn't feel like it's in the actual stomach or intestines but in the tissues/muscles of the torso. Can yeast cause this only around this area? Any ideas on how to get ride of this?

Thanks!

Yep, i have it too.

sometimes it feels like it isnt connected and i only can feel my rib cage. I have a ton of odd symptoms...disconnected things.

Like today i was standing cooking lunch and it felt like everything was detatched below the waste....it only lasted a lil bit.

I suspect babs.

you arent alone.

i wish i knew if it could be yeast.

If you are on mepron, you need to be on heavy duty liver support. Also, babesia resides in the liver, so you will be getting die-off.

THANKS!

I have similar issues with my stomach. I know I have gastritis, so it may be the cause...but I don't know whats causing the gatritis. It basically feels like my stomach is a swollen empty drum when there is no food in it.

Its odd, I'll lie down, press my stomach, and I can feel air go squeezing out of it. Its like its doesn't move properly.

My food digests fine, and I have some odd intestinal problems as well..just pains, twitching, and tensing.

I think its all muscle spasms TBH...your intestines and stomach are all muscles, and they are likely to spasm and such just as much as any other muscle you have.

This is one theory of mine anyway...

I have been on babs treatment for about 6 months, and I had some very strange sensations and pains in my abdomen until probably the last 4 to 6 weeks. Squishy feeling, pain, bloating, etc etc. I have really been making progress with the babs since I have been on Alinia/Ketek. (Yes...I know about Ketek and I have my liver function checked regularly).

Good luck!

Thanks DocJen & Ellie,

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person in the world with this. Even though no two of us are alike it's interesting to see others with similar symptoms. I hope this symptoms clears up fast. Guess I fear my whole body will will become tight and bloated. I find this a very scary symptom in that it feels like parts of you have become dead tissue. I'm wondering if it is babs die off. I've been drinking dandelion tea in hopes to detox some of this.

Thanks and hope you all get well!
