It's the Discovery Health channel, which I don't get on my cable. I went to a friend's with a dish to see it. The Lyme segment is about the last 15 minutes of the show if this is the one they're playing today.
I hope this helps.

You must be looking the "The Discovery" channel. This is different, It's the Discovery Health Channel (DHC). Totally different channel. There are no Pirates on it. This channel is nothing but medical related things. No Planes, Military, Crocodiles (blimy mate!) or such.

Yes it's Discovery Health. It was on during the 1:00 hour in California. Fascinating.

Which person on the show had Lyme? I missed most of it but caught a few snippets about Utero cancer & Kawasaki's.

I have seen this documentary on Discovery twice on Lyme Disease.
All these shows are great!!
I have been ill for almost 2 years and one night my husband and I were watching the show and a story of a young girl came on about 16 years of age (I think), and it took them 6 months to diagnose her for Lyme.
I have been watching this show ever since I became ill, because I was looking for answers and this show gave me mine.
My husband made me call the doctors the next morning to get tested to Lyme and I even had to fight with him to even test me because he said you can't have this, you have something else? I stated, what else can I have, I have been tested for everything and I mean everything!!
(MS, WILSONS, LOU GERHIG, FIBROMYALGIA, ARTHRITIS, CHRONS, INTESTIONAL DISEASE, AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON.......)
The test results come back and I'm border line Lyme, what the heck is border Lyme Disease I asked?
He states that you have all the symtoms of Lyme Disease but the test came back negative, so it's something else, we just have to keep looking!
I told him NO, NO! This is what I have, I know it, I feel it inside me, and I'm right!
I asked for a retest and he suggests that I go see a Arthritis Specialist! Great! He made the appointment and I called and canceled the appoitment!
I figure and believe that my doctor is Pi#$ed Off because I diagnosed myself and all the 20 some doctors that I have seen over these last 1.5 (2 years in October) couldn't do there job!
I did it for them!
Maybe I should get the pay for it, because they surely didn't earn it!
Anyways, its a great piece to watch and the show is a life saver for me!
You can always go on www.discoverychannel.com and than click on Discovery health and you will come to Mystery Diagnosis and other health program's.
Keep fighting for you know what you have and how you feel, NOT THE DOCTORS!!!!!

Dear Mom of 3-
Are you aware that the screening test for Lyme has nearly a 70% false negative rate? That means 7 out of 10 people with Lyme will test negative when they actually have Lyme. A much better test is a Lyme Western Blot (get a copy of your report showing the bands and post it here) and an excellent lab is Igenex (www.igenex.com). They will send a collection kit for free, then you need a doctor to order it. So it's best not to pi** off your local duck because you may need his/her cooperation.
I sent you a PM (personal message) so check for it please.

I do believe the proper term I should of used is I made him feel very "embarrassed" that he didn't think of Lyme Disease. He is still determined that I don't have this Disease! I see him again on Tuesday (tomorrow the 11th). He is a good doc, just stuck in his ways! He is all I have who has stuck by me through this whole mess for almost 2 year's! So, I do hope I didn't make him mad to much, for he is the only one who hasn't said that I'm going crazy, unlike a *Famous Hospital* here in Minnesota! He is just a local Primary Care doc.

For such a *Famous Hospital*, they need to work on there manners towards patients, who know when something is wrong, that they are not going crazy, making up symptom's to get attention, and so on!! I refuse to go back!

When my daughter was extremely ill, we contacted that famous hospital and sent in all the info. That was back in March. She was deteriorating before our eyes and we had no answer as to why. We were told it was "puberty" or "stress" at her 13 years of age.
Since then, she has tested positive for RMSF and valley fever. I still think there is a lyme connection (she's still ill, but better than before).
But get this - this week we received an appt for her at that famous hospital scheduled for August! My husband was thinking we should keep the appt and see if they'll look further into the Lyme angle.
Obviously, from what you are saying, that would be a complete waste of time.
