can someone please explain why i felt better on diflucan and not the amoxy. after one week on diflucan (and the first pill caused a major herx which i never had on amoxy), i felt better.

my droopy eyelid cleared up and i felt like i had more energy and almost felt somewhat happy.

unfortunately, the doc pulled it due to major yeast problems (the amoxy) and she felt the difucan was enough at one week.

now i have to go back and tell her i'm bscksliding and could i have more diflucan.

cna you take just diflucan and not anti's? so many questions...........

Many folks feel better on diflucan. There's some evidence it even interferes with the keets replication cycle. Clearing yeast would make you feel a lot better.

If she refuses to give you more diflucan, you can use freeze-dried garlic or olive leaf extract to kill the stuff and threelac or acidophilus to replenish the good bacteria.

Our llmd is using diflucan without abx in many patients. The three of us after taking abx long term with some to major improvement have all swiched to diflucan alone and are doing wonderfully.

We pulse it now.

i don't have an llmd, and am not likely to find one anywhere near where i live who takes MEDICARE. so after 9 years of off-and-on research on my lyme situation, i have decided that DIFLUCAN (the schardt protocol) seems like a good thing to try.

i've already been thru several kinds of abx, without lasting improvement. my "regular guy" doc truly wants to help me, and when i asked for diflucan and brought him the schardt printout, he had ZERO EXPERIENCE, of course, with that high/heavy dosing.

he offered me 4 pills, one per week, which i have just finished. (i think they are only 150 mg. can't find the package right now)

i feel BETTER than i've felt in years. not dramatically so, but i definitely have more energy. i've been "runnin' on empty" for many many years. so this is my new saviour-drug, perhaps. now i just have to convince him to let me take it FOREVER. dianne

I feel GREAT on diflucan ( until it makes me have die off, which it does)....

my LLMD said diflucan just works great on neuro symptoms of lyme. Some studies say it actually works on the cystic form of lyme.

I would rather take diflucan than amoxy.. amoxy is so hard on me and makes me feel like crap ( because its directly killing the lyme is my guess) ... whereas diflucan DEFINATELY interrupts its pathway.

I hope that helped at least some. Do you need a LLMD near your area? I have some names, dont know if they will help, but I can try? PM me if so.
