Prophylaxis for relapsing fever OK, prophylaxis for LD not OK. Pretty inconsistent wouldn't you say?

Still, I think this might be good ammunition for us.

Yes, I am confused Lou. I just had to fight w/one of my daughter's doctors (okay my husband did the dirty work ;-)) to get her more Doxy. She had taken 10 days (the standard protocol [sigh]) back in March!

My husband insisted she be treated with Doxy again since she is still sick! He agreed to give her a month's worth. Geez - like pulling teeth.

In all fairness, this doctor did diagnose my daughter's RMSF (after two-three months of different doctors telling us it was puberty and all in her head).

We just couldn't understand his hesitation, but we finally got it and we'll see how it goes.
