I finally got tested thru IgeneX. Just a note that I was on ABX when I got my blood drawn. Also, I am positive for babesia but tested negative 5 times for Bb from Quest including all negative (nonreactive) bands on the WB. Here are my IgeneX results:
Also, the PCR came back negative. IgeneX has me negative since they require two of the ** bands to be positive. Doc and I are not sure if I have Bb even though I have babs. I have a lot of babs symptoms that could be Bb. I'm not sure if these results clarified anything. What do you all think?

They show evidence of infection with Borrelia or you would not have the IND bands on several of the Borrelia-specific bands. With clinical symptoms, a Lyme literate doctor would probably pursue this further. Coinfection testing should have been part of the tests done as well.

That's what I would suggest. Treat what you know you have.. re-evaluate... and test again later if the symptoms are still ongoing or new ones pop up.
Since you were on antibiotics at the time.. and many other factors can influence tests..
I would not declare you absolutely positively "Negative"... b
But nor could we say absolutely positively "Positive" by these results either.
SOME folks do only have Babesiosis.. but I only see that in maybe one in a thousand or so (if that often)... and that isn't an "official" number.. just a guess-timate.
Don't know your history.. but if you are in Gaithersburg... there are some other infections to check for in addition to the basic Lyme/coinfection panel.
Salmonella, Triginosis, Epstein Barr, Bartonella .. etc. (Spelling?)
Seems a number of folks in Merryland and lower PA are showing up with some of that stuff too.
I know that doesn't give you any concrete answers.. but with our best tests.. and our best efforts.. we only have a success rate of about 60-80 percent when trying to detect or PROVE Lyme in folks.
Sooooooooooooo, may I suggest to "sit on it".. and try the test again later if you are having problems.
Just want to let you know that I read many of your posts and really value your advice and opinions.
Just to give you a little history about me. First, I don't recall ever getting bit. About 2 years ago, I would sometimes sweat at night after playing ball or working out. I thought it was because I over did it. Never really thought much of it. But then this past fall I would wake up in the middle of the night w/ chest flutters. Again, I thought I was over doing it. Then within a month or two, everything went down hills. It started as a sore throat, started getting muscle tightness in the legs, tremors in the hand, teeth chattering, night sweats, palps, chest compression and overall ill feeling. Like many on this board, I went thru my share of ducks before I found this site. Found my doc thru this site.
I am currently on Mep(2tsp)/Zith(500mg)/Art(300mg) for babs and amoxicillin(3000mg) for Bb. Guess I'm a little afraid to go off the amoxi and have lyme go out of control. But at the same time, I haven't felt that much improvement from the amoxi. I've been taking meds for about 5 months and I know that is not a that long.
So I will probably just "sit on it" and see which symptoms resolve and retest again down the road. Glad you brought up those other infections...I feel like there is something that I am not addressing. I've already tested for babs, bart and erlichia. Only babs came back positive.

I agree that you most likely have Lyme due to the IND on several Lyme specific bands. Those bands are:
Dr C of MO: "In my clinical experience, if a patient has symptoms suspicious for borreliosis, and has one or more of the following bands, there is a very high probability the patient has borreliosis."
These bands are 18, 22, 23-25, 28, 30, 31, 34, 37, 39, 41, 83, and 93. This is true regardless of whether it is IgG or IgM.. "
Read the above link and pay special attention to the highlighted portions. One of them explains the IND ... He refers to it as "equivocal" which is the same thing.

Excellent explanation on WB...I printed it out and will read carefully.
You're the #1 poster on this board...I'm getting help from all the ringers today.
One thing that I must say is I don't get the 4 week symptom flare ups...at least I don't think I do. Does anyone else not get flare ups? Mine is like constant torture.

I'd also say that having Babesia is also a good indication that Borrelia may be present. It shows evidence of a vector. If you have not had blood transfusions, etc., it would seem that this is another sign. My LLMD for example when my Ehrlichia came back + but Bb was equivocal indicated that it is unlikely that I would have Ehrlichia without Bb.
