I have now done one month of mepron/zith, and 1 month of Tinidmax, biaxin. No progress.
I have been feeling hot ALL day today. I feel like i'm burning up inside, especially around my face. This is accompanied by fatigue.
I'm still confused if this is a babesia symptom or not, my guess is that it is. My LLMD said that I dont need any more Mepron, as it takes only a month to cure Babs. HAH...
I believe I should stop taking tinidmax, biaxin (just finished my bottles last night) and START taking mepron/ zith.
Does anyone know if this fever like feeling is caused by the lyme bacteria or the babs parasite? Some info would be awsome as i'm really confused what to do.

I'm a little confused. Did you take the Mepron/Zith for one month and then take the Tindimax/Biaxin the next month? Or do you mean you have been on all 4 meds for a month and just stopped the Mepron/Zith and continued taking the Tindimax/Biaxin?
Sorry to say that Dr B says in the 2005 Treatment Guidelines that you need to treat Babs for a MINIMUM of 4 months continuously. The average life cycle of a red blood cell is 120 days so you need to treat at least that long.

Hey Jon...
A couple of quick notes...
Is it possible you were recently re-exposed to ticks/flies/mosquitoes? Just checking.
I have the hot face feeling now too... like my head/face/neck area inside is on fire. And the fatigue too.. like I can only sit.. not enough energy to function really. I had a break from it yesterday.. but it's back again today.
I do attribute those symptoms to Babs.. if that helps. Don't have a clue if I am right.. but I'm thinking that is the cause.
I agree with Bea about Dr. B's info. I have watched myself and others stop babs treatment too soon. NOT a good idea.
One more thing. At the one month mark on Biaxin (I was on it years ago) my face was getting hot.. then my lips went sort of numb.. then later my tongue was tingling and went numbish and then started to swell. I was thinking herx.. but then not.

Hi Jon, I'm thinking along the same lines as TC. I've also have that hot feeling almost all the time (not from the weather it's radiating from inside me). It just gets better and worse. My face is almost always hot. Really tired. I'm running a fever almost all the time. It gets higher in the afternoon or evening.
I've had these symptoms before, intermittantly, but have started treating Babs just over a month ago and they are fairly constant now. (That and a few other things.)
I would also go back and look at the Babs again but who the heck knows what's doing what.
(Personally, I could really do without feeling like my torso has been pummeled inside and out. This is really new to me, Babs treatment.)

I looked at this post because I just recently had a resurgence of the same feeling -- hot, sweating profusely, flushing -- not related to the weather.
I'm 2 months into babs treatment and have improved dramatically (no more morning migraines, neck pain lots better, etc.) and I think I am finally beginning to herx a bit from it -- I hadn't had a babs herx to date.
I've also just added some hefty detox to my supplements regimen -- I was already doing some, but now doing more -- so that could also be contributing.
I'm not technically running a fever, but my body temperature is running around 98.6 regularly now, which is a good 2 degrees higher than it used to be on a regular basis -- maybe that accounts for some of the fevered feeling for me -- my body isn't used to having a normal temperature yet.

Damn this is an annoying symptom. I have it right now and I can't think of anything else but my sking burning.
I guess no one knows if this is indeed a symptom of BABS.
Whether it is or not, I'm going to begin taking mepron and zithromax again for a longer treatment protocol.
I can't see my LLMD untill wenesday so is it okay if i take a 1 week break from meds?

Hey Jon, are you running a fever? If so, what is it? I myself feel like I am running a fever but dont. My face, neck, back, shoulders and arms burn like I have a horrific sunburn, When I am inside my AC'ed house I feel chilled and burned. I find myself frequantly checking temp, but it is always like 97.1.
