I am a fellow Lymie and I need info. for a project. I am a special education teacher trying to get a master's degree despite this illness. I am in the begining process of treatment, so hopefully I can continue with classes.
Anyways, the class that I am taking, neurogenetics, requires a presentation of a disorder that children might suffer from. So, I was able to choose Lyme. I am very excited to be able to present information to 40 students regarding Lyme, plus a doctor/professor who treats children with neurological disorders. I want to do this topic justice!
What I am looking for are stats. of how many people have Lyme. This can be by state or nationally, or both. Now, I know that it is under reported, so I am planning on stating this is my report. Since I live in Texas, I am focusing on educating the class . . .since we do not have it here, LOL.
I am so impressed with the wealth of knowledge on this site! Ya'll are keeping me sane.
