I have been seen by a neurologist for various odd symptoms. I have just been told that my IgG and IgM levels are elevated.
I had Lyme back in '93. My infectious disease dr. appt. isn't until Sept. 10th.
Is this a relapse and should I try to push that appt. up OR are those levels always going to be elevated since I had it in '93.
I'm wondering how aggressive I need to be about this situation.
Thanks so much for your insights. Nancy

Either your still infected from before or you recieved a new bite or if your married may have got reinfected that way.
If your talking about igg igm that were looking for specific antigens to lyme. Get a LLMD unless the Id doc was one? Any symptoms???
It should be a clinical decision to tret Lyme not just based on the tests anyway. Good luck

My thought is that you may not of had a sufficient amount of abx the first time around. It can go into the cyst form and hide, or you could have co-infections that weren't treated.

Sounds like it could be a relapse. What are your current symptoms?
