Hi all~

Last October, while in the middle of my IV rocephin treatment, and while I was beginning to feel somewhat normal again, I got the chills for several nights. I knew at the time that this was odd, and wondered if babesia or some other co-infection was giving me the chills.

I recently started Dr. Z's herbs for lyme, and artemesian was started two weeks ago. I started gradually, 1 pill a day for the first week, then on Saturday I started 2 pills a day. This coming Saturday I will increase to 3 pills per day which is the normal dose.

Saturday night and last night I also experienced chills. So, now I'm wondering if indeed babesia isn't one of my problems, and if the art is doing something to it.

I've never had night sweats, only chills.

Anyone else have only chills? Or at least night chills? What co-infection did you attribute it to?

Thanks in advance....Timaca

Hi ole Rocephin Buddy. I also had the chills at times while on Roc., but the major chills occurred prior to IV.

These were teeth chattering uncontrollable chills. At times I thought my teeth might break. As far as sweating, I didn't have the night sweats that I recall. I did however have sweating of the hands and feet. yuk

I constantly was drying my hands and changing socks. Within two weeks of Babesia treatment, this stopped. I was hoping it would take care of the dizziness also but it didn't touch it.

Oddly enough, my chills mostly happened in the evening. I would take a hot bath to try to warm up and sit right next to the woodburning stove and would still chatter.

Keep in mind that art alone may allow the Babs to develop resistance. If my lyme brain remembers correctly.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
I had night chills so bad they would keep me awake all night sometimes, even in 90 degree weather, even with a wool blanket and an electric blanet on! My teeth chattered so hard I thought they would break, and goosebumps made the hair stand up on my arms.

They slowly went away with treatment with Samento, though it took at least a year. It could not have been Babs in my case, since Babs is the one thing Samento cannot kill.

I have also had 2 negative Bowen Babs tests, but know some don't think they are worth much.

When I took my yearly holiday from Samento, I started having chills again after the first week, so I think for some of us, it is a Lyme symptom.

Klutzo~ Thanks for your reply. I had to laugh at your comment about it being 90 degrees and you needing a wool blanket. Last night my husband was commenting how hot it was and I was telling him to pile all the blankets on me for I had the chills!

Hi there Pocono! How are you doing?? My chills happen in the evening as well. Usually just after I crawl into bed. Pocono...are you still on IVs?

Glad to know that some others get the chills too. I hope it goes away!

I was freezing for more than a year. Then, it stopped. I'm still not as warm-blooded as I used to be, but I also don't go around wearing a coat in the middle of summer anymore, either. [Smile]

I ended up putting on my winter jammies last night...in spite of the fact that it was a hot night. [Roll Eyes] Then I ended up changing those after I had sweated into them. All in all, I didn't get a lot of sleep last night.

My daughter has had chills for years, she wore a sweater to school every day. Now, in treatment, she still sits on the couch wrapped in a blanket with gloves on her hands. Last night, she added a heating pad.

Yet....she sweats like a racehorce and walks around with paper towels under each arm. Her temp has been running around 96.

We're talking about the middle of the summer in the desert during a heatwave!

[hi]

I am a chiller too. I get these roving chills---like one body part gets the goose bumps and then it runs up the exxtremity to another body part. But only RARELY can you actually SEE the bumps---???

I am cold almost all the time. I run a constant fever of 99 and it spikes in the afternoon to 99.8 and then retreats in evening.

I was also told unresolved fever can be bartonella when you look it up under bart alert.

good luck!

I got chills 8 months or so into my treatment. It was the first sign of babs for me. Started mepron plus biaxin plus ceftin and 3.5 months later the chills are gone. So do all of the other babs symptoms, fingers crossed, cause LLMD says it may come back.
