I take it and had already been taking it for years before I got Lyme because it is very heart-healthy. Given that Lyme can cause heart problems, I'm keeping it in my regimen.

I also take it, I think from reading Dr. B's guidelines. I don't know if I feel any different, but I figure it can't hurt and probably does good overall. It can be quite expensive, though.

After getting sick, but before Lyme and tickborne illnesses were diagnosed a neurologist put hubby on CoQ10 (400 mg minimum). He has had severe neuro symptoms including Parkinsonian tremor which progressed to myoclonus and seizure-like episodes.
A nutritional test at the beginning of his illness showed elevated lipid peroxides (4.9 -- normal should have been less than 1.0). The CoQ10 brought the number down to 1.3 although it did not improve any neuro symptoms.
The neurologist explained that hubby was literally burning up his brain (the brain is 60% fat or lipids). Lipid peroxides are one of several different free radicals. Obviously the CoQ10 did cross the blood-brain barrier and helped with brain inflammation even without antibiotics.
I think if hubby had not taken this he would have had many more than the 4 brain lesions he does have (had 5 at one time and has decreased to 4 with IV antibiotics). Also feel that this has helped some with brain fog.

CoQ10 is a great. My LLMD actually tested my CoQ10 and it was very low. I have been taking 300mg and I did noticed a nice improvement in energy and heart skipps/misbeats.
