Hidradenitis Suppurative. Does anyone have this and can give me details as to there symptoms and or treatments? I've read that antibiotics is recommended but I have been on antibiotics for two years due to lyme disease. Is this a result of lyme disease or is lyme causing this? Thanks, Marv

I believe in many cases this could be the labeling of a "syndrome" which is merely a symptom.
-- meaning there is an underlying cause that could be addressed, and this condition is labeled with no known cause or clear plan of action to resolve it.
This could happen from a backed up eliminative system.
Lymphatic and other systematic eliminative pathway attention might be something worth learning about.

Is there a certain doctor or type of medical professional I'd need to talk with or go to?

Well Marvin I go to my gyn doctor when i have a flare of HS. The treatments I am aware of are hot soaks, antibiotics, or lancing.
I have had HS for many years prior to my Lyme Diagnosis-and the sores all resolved without much ado-patience and hot soaks.
BUT THEN-in the first month of my Lyme Diagnosis I had a breakout to end all breakouts-lasted nearly two months. I was already on antibiotics for the Lyme-so the only other course of action was the hot soaks and lancing.
I should think any doctor could treat it however-as long as they recognized it for what it is.
Good Luck-no fun with this one, Carol
