Wife just called me and said that the test results just came in the mail. I scored a 5 on the NK Cell test. From what she told me, 300 is the top, 150 is good and below 20 is really bad.

I also tested positive for Candida.

LLMD recommended that I start taking Goji juice, Nutriferon and Diflucan.

On top of Lyme and mercury I get these results also, not sure what I expected.

The following link will show my history and other test results.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks,
Stan

Here's info on the Candida control and diet:

Candida diet and elimination:

Lyme symptoms list compared with yeast symptoms

"Successful control and elminiation of a Candida Albicans overgrowth requires a multifaceted program as described below. Failure to follow ALL the steps simultaneously will result in slow progress and will lengthen healing time significantly. The program should be tailored to the individual and must balance the need to eliminate the Candida and deprive it of its food source while insuring proper nutrition for the individual."

Five Steps to Candida Elimination:

1. You must starve it into submission by eliminating its food source.

2. You must kill it with anti-fungal herbs and supplements. [e.g....garlic, onion, caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco capsules or tea, clove, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, tea tree oil, Echinacea, Goldenseal, black walnut, MSM, barberry root, uva ursi, neem leaf, biotin]

3. You must reestablish the proper balance and quantity of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract. [...multi-strain lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus capsules with FOS should be taken between meals to maximize repopulation of the digestive tract by beneficial bacteria.]

4. You must reestablish proper levels of all B vitamins (yeast free) and utilize other immune enhancing supplements to boost immune system function. [e.g ... B complex vitamins (yeast free), biotin, beta 1-3 glucan, colostrum, maitake mushroom, vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium]

5. You must cleanse and heal the digestive tract to promote proper elimination of toxins and Candida and assimilation of nutrients. [e.g...chlorophyll, MSM, omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seed and salmon oils, GLA found in borage, evening primrose and black currant oils. Pantothenic acid, digestive enzymes between meals]

my NK result was 14... so I hear ya!

Goji is pretty good, but I'm a BIG fan of Xango. Compare the sugar content, because I THINK Goji has more sugar....and you may have to take more of it to get the same result as Xango.

Stan,

What kind of candida test did you take? What were your levels?

Im just curious. I just had a blood test done by Quest Labs and i had a positive IgG at 1.29, my IgA was 1.22 and i had a negative IgM at .80.

The scale is under .89 negative
.89-.99 is equivocal
and anything at 1.00 or higher is positive

My NK cells were at 39.

Are you following the candida diet?

Take care,

Jordan

Hello and thanks Lymetutu for the info.

Jordan, my Candida test was done with Immunosciences Lab. The IgG Candida test result was 6972 with the reference range of 0 - 3200. The IgA Candida test result was 12800 with the reference range of 0 - 2000.

I have been staying away from sugar and yeast as much as possible (not 100%)since August 2005. I go in spurts but now that I know for sure, I will have to make some more changes.

What did either of you do to get your NK cell count up?

Thanks again.

One day at a time.

Stan

(I will not have access to a computer unitl a week from this Saturday after tomorrow night.)
