Once or twice a week I get an extreme fatigue...can barely get out of bed...could sleep forever...very hard to even walk. What causes this?
I'm back on ABX after relapsing a bit, after 6 months off the meds.
Thanks,

He morningnewsman,

I don't know the specific reason but lyme & the co-infections and why they cause fatitgue. But they sure do.

Lyme can cause some colateral damage to adrenals and thyroid function. So you might want to check that out to.

Being back on the abx maybe your herxing and if you where off for 6 months you could have a germ load build up that can cause the herx's to be worse.

Do a search here on fatigue. There are some natural treatments that have helped some folks.

Make sure to talk over everything first with your LLMD.

Hope you can feel better soon

It's like an assault on the body. I really think the inflammation is what causes some of the fatigue.

I take mangosteen juice and I know it has greatly reduced the inflammation, and energy is the result, in my opinion.

Along with lyme I have 3 active viruses one of them being Epstein-Barr virus. That one can cause fatigue.

I take the Mangosteen Juice also and it has helped me with fatigue. It helped the second day on it which really surprised me.

Fatigue= lack of energy = lack of ATP.

Most of ATPs are produced by (Sugar/Fat+Oxygen).

(Sugar/Fat+Oxygen) are provided by blood circulation.

So if blood circulation is impaired, say by Babs, fatigue will occur.

Palpitation is the response of the heart trying to compensate the loss of (Sugar/Fat+Oxygen)supply.

When I took Artemisinin or the herb, the Herx was mainly fatigue, due to at least partially the decline of Iron levels by Arte.

Low levels of Iron will impair the Oxygen supply for the body, thus cause fatigue.

Therefore I would blame Babs for my fatigue, although my Babs tests (both FISH and ELISA) were negative.
