Hi everyone,

I was told by my LLMD to try to get this test done, and am waiting to hear back from
him regarding if you can be on antibiotics when you have it done.

Can you be on antibiotics when you have the CD-57 test done?

I am on the Biaxin, was on the flagyl with it, but am giving the plaqenil one more try, seeing if what I experienced the last time was a herx or not. Staying on 1 plaqeinl for a week then up it if ok, stopping the flagyl for now.

My LLMD didn't have me stop anything when they took blood for CD57.

Mine's in the 200's somewhere I think.

Yes it is fine to get CD 57 test done while on abx.

My recent one dropped from 47 (had been making progress) to 35.... [Frown]

Ginger Savely, who practices under Dr. S.....and I believe he is the one, or one of the ones, who have researched and developed this test marker

has written an article on page 8 about the CD 57 test at this link:

I was on four antibiotics when the CD-57 test was done last month. I learned two days ago during my doctor visit that my count was 44. That was not something I wanted to hear nor was expecting to hear after three years of treatments including orals as well as IV. Needless to say, I was disappointed and am trying not to let it get me down.

Painted Turtle - Thank you so much for posting the web address to the article explaining the CD-57 test. When I see my Internist in October, he does not treat my Lyme, and he wonders what that test means, I will whip out the article and provide him with a copy. I am sure when he received that test result from my Lyme doctor his head must have spun a little, lol.

All the best - Deb

Has anyone tried a test of doing RainTree Cat's Claw, Nutramedix Samento or BioPure Samento for six months after having CD57 meastured and then retesting at the end? It is supposed to raise CD57 and I am interested in anyone that has tried to validate this.

Thanks
