While in the hospital, my primary doc told me I had a low white blood count....2 if I processed what she said correctly.

She took me off [confused] all abx.

I have done a little research on low white blood count and learned I need to eat fresh fruits and vegies and yogurt to help.

I also learned I need to stay away from people to avoid catching something.

I will be seeing my grandsons on FRiday and Saturday.

They are young and usual have a cold or something from preschool.

So, I am looking for those who have had low white blood counts to tell me why I possibly had a low white blood count.

And what I need to do to raise it.

Thanks.

PS I also see my LLMD Saturday so I will learn more then but would like to know what I can do in the meantime.

I sure don't know how to correct the problem of low white blood counts- I showed up in the LLMD's office in March 2006 with low counts and they have been consistently low-except one month the were normal-and I thought -I'm getting better-then they went back down again the next month.

My LLMD didn't take me off Antibiotics- she doubled them! And she told me to only eat God made foods-not man made as in processed. Fruits and veggies-as you said. But I consider ice cream made from cow's milk to be a God made food, too. [Smile]

Thanks Carol,

I am seeing my LLMD Saturday so hopefully I will get to know more.

Yep. It seems that many are saying we need to eat lower on the food chain and cut out processed foods.

I am doing the best I can.
