I did the test in Orlando through Labcorp. My insurance would not pay anything toward the price, and I was billed $78.50.

My test from LabCorp was $141.00 (US). That included 2 tests - each one being $70.50. On my results the tests are described as %CD8-/CD57+ Lymphs which I think is the percentage of total killer cells that are CD57, but I'm not certain of that. The other is Abs. CD8-CD57+ Lymphs which is the number people are referring to when they refer to CD57 counts. I have no idea what the CD8s in these label refer to.

I believe that the Stricker panel that I've read about includes several more tests than this, so I think if you had that done it would be much more expensive.

I just had mine done in southern CA last month and got the bill for $171.00. $30.00 was for the blood draw. My insurance doesn't pay for anything they don't do.

This was done by Labcorp in Orange, CA.

Great; thanks [Smile]

I'll let you know what I get charged as well; seems there is some variance!

Best,

Hi,

I had a CD-57 test done last month by LabCorp and it cost just under $150.00.

My insurance carrier's statement indicated that this test would not be covered as well as another test with a combined total of $285.00.

My husband made one phone call to our Insurance company stating that no one told us these labs would not be covered and nor were we asked to sign such a statement. The insurance company then agreed to pay the claim.

This might be worth trying should you have a similar situation.

All the Best - Deb

Has anyone brought a labslip into a non-Labcorp lap at a hospital, for example? Can they draw it & send it out?

Labcorp's nearest office is over an hour & a half away and with the cost of gas these days.

Hi Foggy,

I brought my lab slip down to East Side Lab and they drew the blood and sent it out to LabCorp.

I was told by the phlebotomist that LabCorp makes daily pick ups at their lab.

My doctor's office happens to be located in the same buiding as East Side Lab so he called down and asked them if they could/would do this.

The lab had no idea as to what tube color top to use but they called LabCorp up and got the instructions. It took a few moments or so, but it worked out.

Just make sure your doctor indicates on the slip that the blood work is to be processed by LabCorp.

All the Best - Deb
