Ok, so, long story short, I have colon issues, candida (probably one in the same), Lyme, Babesia, Bartonella and ehricliosis. I would like to do the 'candida diet' (I do have those guidelines) but need to flush the colon first and also eat high fiber foods (which seem to be high sugar as well). What CAN I eat and what is the best way to start this? I do NOT want to take any more pills or supplements so I am looking for the answers from food / drinks. While I am at it... where does anyone find sugar free yogurt? I can't find any. thanks for any and all ideas!

The most anti-inflamatory diet and one that starves the yeast is vegetables without butter. Salt and pepper seasoning are ok as well as many herbs like basil, dill, etc. No vinegar. Watch condiments. They all have sugar and/or vinegar in them. Salad dressings too. Lean meats are ok as they do not feed the yeast either. Again watch how they are seasoned or prepared.
Stay away from anything with breading or sauces on it. For two weeks, don't even eat fruit because of the sugar content. After that, add back the low sugar fruits like berries and cherries and granny smith apples.
Starchy veggies like beans and potatoes are not good either. The starch turns to sugar in your body. I do eat some of these but sparingly. Lots of cruciferous veggies. The kind your mother used to make you eat.
Of course, avoid sugar in all its forms. I do use Stevia but limit it to only a packet or two a day.

and what about fiber? do you find you feel ok with eating all the veggies? Can't harm the colon any more (though if the pain is from candida, in theory it will go away, I suppose) thanks for the advice!
