most people know me
i have done most of the dental consulting on the board for 6 years but have gotten into fights
i have lost my temper
and called people idiots
i removed a troll last year but got myself removed in
the process.
so if you read my last post on page one you'll understand why i am leaving.
for further clarification ask the people about the mess ;last year when
half the old members left to go to another site of our own.

Well Doc, I cannot see the recent post you were referring to but have previously enjoyed your humor. Don't give up just yet ok?

I remember the dust up from last year and was happy to see you back.

By the way, how is Axelrod?

I just found the post Doc and don't think your post sounded semi phychotic.

Instead to me your post sounds, exasperated, frustrated, beat down, and stymied as how your health is still comprimised after all these years. And all for good reason Doc.

You are not alone, and I know that doesn't help. But that is what this board is supposedly for, support and help.

I know it's hard for you to scroll on by when a person's post angers you.....maybe try and not answer it right away if you can.

Take care,
Stella Marie

Life is full of stupid people and idiots.

Some of them act that way because of brain issues related to Lyme, and guess what, some of 'em happen to be on LymeNet.

Many of us with neuro problems and brain issues are irritable, cranky, and short tempered.

When you feel like that and also have inadequate pain medication, it's just impossible to be kind and thoughtful to people who are acting stupid and idiotic.

Don't look at me that way...I know I'm guilty.

Doc Dave, I hope you'll reconsider and give us all another chance.

Dear Dave,

I understand at least in part how you feel. It seems to me that the words in Ist Corinthians 13:11 or is it 11:13, I do not rememer, are perfect for such instances. They are" for ye suffer fools gladly, seeing that ye yourselves are wise." My Latin teacher gave me that quote decades ago, one of the wisest people I have ever known and I spent a whole Sunday Morning Boring Sermon reading through Corinthians until I found it.

I agree with you that supid people are infuriating. But then neither your nor I ever say or do stupid things, now do we? Perhaps with Lyme disease we have become so irritable that the things that irritate us irritate us not because of what they are but because of what we are.

My other quote: Infinitus est numerus stultorum. (The number of fools is infinite) Since we are surrounded by these obnoxious creatures all the time, perhaps we should just look on them as a species of pernicious misquitoes and let it go at that. Part of the landscape. It would certainly help the nerves. I do not know about your nerves, but my nerves are shot!!!

Of course, as Camus noted in his novel La Peste (the Plague) which in a way is a perfect description of Lyme disease: "the most dangerous man in the world is an intelligent fool." Hmm. Steere? Wormser? Meade??? Shall I go on?

In any case, instead of packing up your marbles and going home, which really is no fun, may I suggest that you take a few days off, draw a long breath, get a good nights sleep, laugh at the stupidity of it all and know that there are people who while they may not agree with you appreciate you and wish you well. Cheers. Thomas Parkman

Well, dear Doc, since you asked --

I hunted up the 'offending' thread.

Sheesh. The only offending thing I saw were your instructions to Gigi to put her advice where the sun don't shine.

Now, you don't have to agree with everything Gigi says. There are many points of view. I'll probably never do Rife or saunas. But who knows? A coupla years ago, I would've laughed if you had told me I would have Kombucha tea and Kefir brewing on my kitchen counter right now.

Go figger.

However, whether you agree with their treatment choices or not, it'd be nice to be respectful of others.

After a remark like that, it's hard to imagine that you are somehow the wounded party here.

[confused]

"Real literarture and research" has not provided Any answers in 30 years, does this mean they are stupid?
People on this board are looking for answers that research has not provided. After 30 years research has not come up with an accurate diagnosis or effective treatment for lyme disease.
Don't let yourself get worked up over
misinformation from some well meaning people.

If you had a son and he came home and said "dad I found out today that boys can have babies"
Would you say he is stupid or misinformed?
Woulden't you want to correct him?

I myself have learned a great deal of information from well informed people on this board in the 10 months I've been on. As an example many drs. could not connect my dizziness and fainting with lyme disease, after searching the board I found many people with these symptoms
and also found two drs. that documented this as a symptom of lyme.
I think you can offer allot to this board if you can overlook some misinformation.
I offer you good luck in your search.

nobody said i was wounded. i admit i was the nasty one.
however ,i don't want to deal with people like that again.
my research time is too valuable to waste on people that have one oppinion and will not listen to other oppinions even though their'ds may be incorrect.
my good days and my research for lyme disease are precious to me, and i only help on the forum because god gave me the gift of healing, and that's what i've done and will do with my life.
my research with lyme may be at a breackthrough next year and i can't spend my time fighting someone because they want peopple to remove all their teeth.
come on now, let's be practical.
i will watch from afar and notify ilads when i am close to finding a cure for lyme.
if this is being selfish then let it be,
i'll be glad to help anybody at anytime just email me with any question and you WILL GET A RESPONSE, if you can deal with my dumb humor.
love you all,
dr. david klein
