Still new to all this & scheduled for a phone consultation with a distant LLMD next week-BUT I never had flu symptoms-Keep reading that as major symptom-Can you have Lyme and not feel that bad? Think I really need to know now-
Had rash-then"funny knee" went on doxy (200mg/21 days) then low grade fever day 6&7 and again day 13 & 14- On day 4 found 2 ticks on me-ugh! New rash started & quickly dissipated Does everyone w/ Lyme get "fluish"?
Found an ENORMOUS tick like thing in my dryer today-not at all like the one I scraped off or the one that fell off during treatment-(maybe a dog tick OR a very engorged deer tick??)HELP! Plan to call my regular doc tomorrow & bring the tick for ID- HELP? Thanks!

I never had the flu-like symptoms. Several months after the bite (didn't realize it was a tick bite at the time) I developed sore knees, muscle weakness in my legs (could barely walk), then burning began in my feet and spread throughout my body, visual blurring, hip pain, etc.
Lyme can really effect each of us quite differently.

Like Jill says it is very individual; that's why people look at you like you are nuts when you suspect another may have lyme. An enormous weight would be lightened if symptoms were the same.
My older son developed headaches, muscle pulls, fatigue.
My younger son dropped 10 pounds and had mono-like symptoms.....below grade fevers.
I could not go up and down steps (moved like an older adult) & developed brain fog and lost my sex drive.
Listen to the voices of this board. My youngest son found the canlyme site helpful he said.
