I second the Xerosox. It worked really well for me for the 6 months I had my PICC line in 2002 and was in great shape when I had the line pulled.

I bought the xerosox picc line protector and it workered really well. It slides over your arm and comes with a pump to allow for an airtight seal. I did not have any problems with it getting too tight, and was able to wear it swimming.
As far as working with a picc... has your sign tried to cut the elastic part of a tube sock off and slip it over the site? It's a gret solution to protect the line.
