I would like to know how many of you got a False negative on your first elisa or eia?

Not sure how to score this one - Negative by PCR for Lyme but Positive for Babesiosis by PCR.

I was negative on the ELISA from the mayo clinic. Positive on PCR and Luat from Igenex. Borderline positive WB.

quest wb = positive = 39 and 41.
igenex wb = positive
mdl = i forget

babesia:
mdl = neg.

bartonella: not tested for

False negatives on PCRs are much more common, because a part of the bacteria needs to be in the sample. It's not just looking for antibodies.

That said, negative on multiple Elisa tests and WB's.

Hi, After having to beg the doctor to test for Lyme, my daughter's Elisa was negative, Western Blot from Igenex was positive.

Elisa and PCR were negative, Western blot was positive after antibiotic challenge.
