Can you have a co-infection without having Lyme?? Could someone have Babs without having Lyme?

Co-infection to me mean you are infected with something else..

Any info that documents this?

My LLMD has a patient who was bitten by a fly on the west coast and contracted babs. I would guess, that coinfections are generally the rule, nnot the exception.

Hey DJP,

According to the following links, about 20-25% of those with babs are coinfected with lyme.

Not sure how reliable those numbers are.

I think it is definitely possible. If a tick can only transmit lyme, then I'm sure ticks can only trasmit babs too.

It could happen, but I would not quickly jump to the conclusion that Lyme is not also there. The odds are good that it may actually be.
