What do you owe Dr. Jones & ALL LLMDs? What do you, your family, friends and relatives owe Dr. Charles Ray Jones?
We owe him everything. He saved our daughter's life, literally. He GREATLY improved our son's life. What would have happened to our kids, and yours, if Dr. Jones wasn't the selfless GIANT of a man he is? What do you owe him?
A day trip to CT to show him you care, financial support?
I owe him way more than a few days spent attending his hearings to let him know he is supported, WAY more.
Maybe Dr. Jones hasn't treated anyone in your family or anyone you know. Do you still owe him your physical presence at his hearings and your financial support? He is fighting the fight for ALL LLMDs. EVERY LLMD deserves our support in time of need.
It astounds me that highest attendance for any of his hearings has been about 100 people! I know he has saved THOUSANDS of kid's lives.
Yes, there are some good reasons to not show up. There are also excuses for not showing up. Are your reasons for not attending solid or excuses?
It is fantastic to send a check. Without your financial support he can't fight the fight. I know he greatly appreciates your financial contributions and your letters of support. Now let's start attending his hearings to give him a visual of the support we have for him. It breaks my heart to see such small turn out at his hearings and I think it must be hurtful to him as well. Though he would never say so...
It may not be easy to show up at the hearings....but, IMHO, we OWE him. We owe it to Dr. Jones to support his fight financially and by showing up at his hearings.
You might be surprised to find it is easier than you anticipated to attend his hearings. Give it a try. Show up. Give him the support he deserves.
Dr. Jones next 2 hearings are scheduled for September 7th and September 28th. My feeling about attending such things is that the people closest are the logical ones to go, the rest of us can send checks to help pay for the defense. If you can do both, great. This should not be a problem given how many lymies there are in the north east. CT, MA, NY are lyme central. If you have relatives or friends who would attend in your stead, and live closer, that will do also.
Kay is right. No matter whether he or any other LLMD has treated you or your family personally, attack on our docs is an attack on all of us. The imbeciles doing this have a goal of ensuring that no one with chronic lyme will ever get treated again. And this will affect not just the ones who are already infected, but all of those in the future who get infected, will fail to produce a CDC positive test, or not even be checked for lyme, or will be treated inadequately even for an early case. In other words, this CDC/NIH/IDSA/state medical board/insurance outrage will continue until it is forced to stop.

Not too clear on why you ask this question. Both of these cases happened about the same time, undoubtedly organized that way for spreading maximum fright among lyme patients and doctors.
Since then Dr. Jones has been trying to prepare a defense, get lawyers on board, find funding, and treat seriously sick children six days a week. What do you think he could possibly have done or should have done to help Dr. Jemsek?
Please people, do what you can on this, if only to acknowledge having read this post, so Kay and others don't think they are being ignored.

If I can get out of bed tomorrow, I am going! Trying to rally my relatives to be a big gang of ****ed off women (don't worry, respectfully ****ed off).
I have been to a previous and there were so few of us...please, if you go- bring friends (or maybe clean out a nursing home for a nice outing at the state building--they can sleep the whole time).
Seriously, this is important to us all.

Kay, very well spoken from a Mom w/2 kids that Dr. Jones has helped to cure!
I'm like Tuto; will one of you out THERE closest to where this is happening please represent me too? I'm in no shape to travel that far.
Dr. Jones remains in my daily thoughts & prayers as well all of you uniting to fight the injustices done on this LLMD & Dr. Jemsek.
We'll be waiting online tomorrow night to hear how the hearing went, please post promptly .
I also noticed last night when I was on midnight to 2 am there were MORE guests than members registered reading the latest on Dr. Jones... Bettyg

I wish the support groups in every state had organized caravans to get to the hearing. (I want to be there and should have posted to see if others in my area wanted to carpool.)
Is there a northern Virginian who wants to plan to make the late September hearing. I want to go in your place Betty.....Tutu.
Like lou says...forces want to take all our llmds down. I hope we supported Dr. Jones with our donations, yes, but we need to stand with him this week and later in September.
