Hi folks,
I was dxs with Neuro-Lyme Wednesday by my LLMD.
Started abx (Biaxin/Plaq Combo + Nystatin)and that same night went to bed with the worst headache and woke in morning with the same. Felt like crap all day. [dizzy]

Does anyone know if this is a herx???? So Soon?

Thank you in advance,
tic

I felt like crap on biaxin/plaqenil. It wasn't until I added ceftin to the mix that I got some relief from that toxic feeling.

I'm not sure if your symptoms are from lyme die-off or a herx. But I'm sure someone else will know.

BTW tic chick, your mailbox is full so I could not reply to your PMs.

I'm so glad that you like our doctor, especially having to travel so far to see him. [Smile]

alliebridge,

I did not know that you need to dump the saved messages every so often......so thank you for letting me know!

I am feeling a little better today and feel that those headaches may have been stress related. Not really sure about the herx thing. Will have to read more.

Blessings to you,
tic

Hi,

So glad you have a dx and are being treated.

I've had some very fast herxes when starting some of the abx I've been on. It could also be your body complaining about the treatment. Sometimes it takes a little while to adjust.

Take Care,

Corgilla

I started herxing pretty immediately when I started treatment -- it waxed and waned for about 4 days, and then BOOM, hit me like a freight train.

Glad you are getting treatment -- hang in there, it is often a bumpy road....

No quick questions allowed.

JUST KIDDING!

Be sure you take probiotics...lots, with a full glass of water before a meal.

They are REALLY important when on abx.

Could be just your body adjusting to the antibiotics. Sounds to quick to be a herx but anything is possible.

Hi tic chick

So glad you found a LLMD and started treatment.

Sounds like it could be a herx. I was on many abx combo & sometimes herxed from the get go & then sometimes not for a few days.

Do you have head pressure too? Thats was my first herx symptom. I also had very bad neuro lyme.

make sure to keep a daily symptom diary. This can help alot. And keep in touch with your Dco & let him know how you are doing

Marine's is good advice about the pro-biotics. make sure to space them out at least 2 hours away from your meds

Take care
And hang in there [group hug]
Its can be a long road back but in the end its worth it.
