Hi everyone. I am new to all these. I have been reading the boards, and I have an LLMD appt. later this month.
I am concerned about yeast while taking antibiotics. I have heard that it can be difficult to deal with while you have Lyme. What do you use to help with this?

I am not a doctor & this is just my personal opinion-
What helped me while on abx was taking lots of good pro-biotics spaced at least 2 hours apart from your abx. If you don't space them properly the abx will kill the flora you are trying to replace.
And staying on the anti-yeast diets helped me alot too. No sugar-very low carb.
Also what helped me was nystatin. Its not as hard on the liver as diflucan. And is good at killing the yeast in the gut.
There are some natural supps like garlic & olive leaf, ect... that you might want to ask your doc about that helps some people with yeast too.
Good luck to you
make sure to talk over everything first with your LLMD

Probiotics, nystatin, coptis extract, olive leaf extract, and a heartbreaking changeover from a daily diet of Turkish coffee with chocolate pizza to oatmeal. No, nothing else. Just oatmeal.
Okay, just kidding. But alas, it has been necessary to cut back on coffee, burgers, pizza, and pure white sugar (as God intended) and go to honey, nuts and berries, legumes, and whatever else is classified as good for you. Sigh.
