I just went to a chiro today who did a EAV test - checking the energy in my meridians to identify areas that are out of balance (a lot!). In addition to my nutritional supps, she wants me to do homeopathic drops. She was also talking about how long-term antibiotic use starts to have a steroidal effect on the immune system, and will actually weaken it.

I have been on antibx for 5 months now, have improved slowly but surely. It's hard to tell b/c my symptoms have always been very mild. She is ok with my staying on antibx right now while trying to build immune system.

I am so confused. Has anyone gone this route? Is there a danger if I go off antibx and try this for a couple of months? Will I lose a lot of ground? Will the bacteria become resistant if I stop in the middle? I am not comfortable going off antibx right now, but maybe down the road.

Opinions please! [confused]

Thanks!

Hello,

I started my path to wellness with homeopathy. This was not your simple healthfood store variety.

It was combination remedies and FDA approved. I was under the care of a LLMD with board certification in homeopathy.

It totally and completely eliminated my migraines, shortterm memory problems, brain fog, stiff neck, hearing loss.

However, it did not prevent the rheumatoid arthritis. I had incredible energy while on the homeopathy and really recommend it.

BTW, you can take the remedies along with your abx. There is NO HARMFUL interaction or side effects from homeopathy.

Once the rheumatoid arthritis was diagnosed, I focused on it and learned of a possible leaky gut connection. I found a doctor trained in nutrition, heavy metal detox. He tested and found I did indeed have leaky gut which can cause all kinds of illness.

Igenex tests confirm I have had lyme but can't determine that I have it now. The tests were run after 5 mths of homeopathy.

I definitely recommend homeopathy under a well-trained homeopath.

I have been working with the new doctor for 5 mths. We are focused on healing my gut and removing the heavy metals from my body. I am doing very well.

I am leading a full and normal life except for an altered diet, LOTS of supplements and IVs of glutathione and lipostabil. I still have some sporatic joint stiffness, but it is well on its way out.

My only antibiotic protocol to date is 100mg Minocycline MWF which is a low dose protocol aimed at Mycoplasmas.

Above all, I give thanks to God for leading me to extremely good and caring doctors.

Luvs

My LLMD has an in house naturalpath who also does muscele testing and bio-feed testing. He has started to see a trend with some of the lyme patients. The spleeh system get hit pretty hard - the spleen is about 1/3 of our immune system. You might want to see how you test out with homeopathics that help spleen and lymph drainage. "Ailgeno" drops Distributed by BioResource has been a standard for many in his practice. It is very powerfull. I will not underestamate homeopathics in any way anymore. This stuff really got my spleen/lymph system drainage going stong.

I do use homeopathics for ages.

The point is you should ask 'what homeopathics?' 'What school?' etc...

Some just treat symptoms, some use this classic school of Hahnenman, some use ART together with it, others use a lot of nosodes against lyme/ co-infections.

I'm using now ART with homeopathics, using LM potencies for the first time, to balance organs, it works rather well too.

The key is always to find a good homeopath.

Good luck!

I don't use homeopathy, but I have started combining more supplements and herbal supplements with my treatment.

I personally have chosen not to stop antibiotics. If you still have the infection, you need something that will kill the infection.

I don't personally believe homeopathy is potent enough to kill an infection. There just isn't enough of the substance in homeopathic drops. But I do think there is good potential in some of the herbal remedies if you are interested in that route.

Personally, I'm staying on my abx and taking care of my system with herbs and supplements.

I did one course of the Deseret lyme homeopathics and can't say that it was making a difference, however I did not stop taking my abx, so there may have been some antidoting of the homeopathics.

I am a big fan of homeopathics for other things. For example, when I start choking from sinus drainage tickling my throat, Rumex Crispus knocks it out in less than 30 seconds. I call that MAGIC! [Smile]

Yes, I wasted two years doing that. At first felt better, but then not sustained and by the end was worse than when I started.

This was also not your 'garden variety'. It was at a College of Homeopathy where they used a similar device to EAV, called BFD, and I took nosodes for 2 years. Cost me a bunch of $$$$ all for nothing.

Virgil used a combination of the natural sea salt followed by the homeopathy (while using Glyconutrients throughout to build up his immune system) and is now symptom free and tremendous energy.

I would recommend homeopathy under the guidance of a knowledgeable health practioner.

But it is also essential to build up your immune system and yur general health while fighting the Lyme.
