I am just wondering if the combo of tinidizole/750mg a day along with 500mg of zith and 400mg of art will treat the babs, for the time being, i a on a little break from the mepron due to side effects.

The azithromycin and artimimesia is surely helpful for babs. I didn't ever hear of tinidazole helping with babs, though. It is good for cystic forms of Bb (lyme), though; that may be the reason they put you on it. For babesia, an alternative to atovaquone and azithromycin ('mepron' ans 'zithromaz') is a combi called 'malarone', which also contains atovaquone. So if it really is the atovaquone you had trouble with, this may not help alleviate the side effects. But sometimes a different formulation can do the trick. "malarone' comes as solid tablets-- at least they are easier to take.. You may need to discontinue zith if you do 'alarone'; it's possible some of the other stuff in it totally takes the place of zith, or even conflicts with it, but I don't know; you'd have to ask your doc about that. Artimesia anua is quite powerful, so you don't necessarily need to be in a rush to get back on atovaquon, though. You may want to see about the extract artimisinin that is made from artimesia anua. It is more concentrated, but some important compounds which occur in straight artimesia anua could be lost in the extraction process. I tried both, and there is no question that both had a powerful effect against babesia. Well, good luck with it all...!
