I have Lyme arthritis. I was only diagnosed in May with Lyme disease so its still early in my treatment. But my LLMD is hopeful some of it will go away.
I have arthritis in my thumb joints both hands, one hip and knees. My LLMD thinks that I have probably had Lyme for almost twenty years. Mis- diagnosed in my 20's as chronic fatigue.
Sorry.... but for me not much has helped the pain of the arthritis, but I am hoping for a least some improvement with treatment.
Take care. Mindy

1. yes, mine is all gone
2. it can be anywhere, neck, back, hands and feet are very common.
3. I used heat, a hot tub, to ease the pain.

(1) Does Lyme Arthritis go away after awhile with ABX treatment? It does, but I don't know the percentage of cases that resolve and those that don't. Would be interesting to know.
(2) What part of the body does it often affect? I think anywhere...but mostly knees, shoulders, the back...??
(3) For those with Lyme Arthritis, do you take any med for arthritis? If so, what do you take? Does it help? No, I take Xango for the pain and inflammation. Helps tremendously.
I think a lot of my pain is from a car accident and a fall ... the rest of the "lyme arthritis" is pretty well gone.
