Any tips on healing a burnt out stomach? I trashed mine so bad I get out of breath horribly weak and nauseaus when it cramps up. Most stuff I eat now causes my skin to burn and flush. I stopped all orals today. crapo.

The first thing I'd try is tea made by steeping 1 tblspn YARROW in 8oz just-boiled water for 5-10 minutes. Yes, I agree, it's not exactly what you'd call yummy. But it does WONDERS for a burnt-out tummy!...

When my stomach was "burnt out" by ...'celebrex'..., a poisonous pain killer that some corporate entity tried to market awhile ago and has since been taken off the market, YARROW tea kept me out of the hospital. It is remarkable stuff!

In the next few days after this I would always drink yarrow tea several minutes prior to eating; this helped sooth the damage done by the ...'celebrex'..and all the rude antibiotics I was taking.

Also, eating unspicy, unsugary foods such as steamed rice veggies, helped considerably.

I am sorry you are having this problem. I was wondering what do you think is causing your skin to flush and burn? I am unclear as to what the relationship is between the gastric distress you are experiencing and the skin issues. It doesn't seem very pleasant at all.

Well let me tell you MY stomach was about as bad as it gets last winter.

Herbs did no help for it. The ONLY thing that helped it was C-Salts from nutri.com.

Since we NEED vitamine C anyway, for Lyme healing, why not take the C-Salts instead of regular ascorbic acid? It works. WONDERS!

My stomach was very painful and I was nauseas all the time from Vitamine C, aspirin, Tetrachcline, and Doxycylcine. I dropped the Aspririn, Tet and Doxy. NO antibiotics NOW. Stomach is wonderful 99% of the time. AND I eat Pizza's, spicy cheese dip with my doritos, etc..

Sugar can still be a problem, but nothing else seems to bother it too much these days.

I still take lots of herbs to help cure the Lyme though. Though not as much as I was taking earlier in the year.

Get Stephen Buhner's book Healing Lyme, Naturally, and you will be well on your way to feeling better in all departments.

Thanks for all the helpful tips. Its day two off of orals and there is already improvement. I may have stopped before any real damage was done. Nonetheless I think I may take a few weeks off form orals. I still am taking my bicillin shots thought. Today I feel pretty good! Took a stiff 25 min walk and no problemos.
