For those of you that have taken levaquin what were your herxes like? I am taking levaquin 750 mg. 3 x per week with zith 500 mg.

Just finished2 weeks of levaquin IV and was on IV for almost 3 months.Couldn't afford it anymore. My herxes are the worst 2 days after the meds. extreme exhaustion along with moderate to severe bone and joint pain.

I know this good I am just wondering how long most people herx before they feel better on this. Thanks for your input.

My Levaquin (500 mg/day oral w/ 4.8 mu IM Bicillin/wk) herxes have been:

continuous, building with small fluctuations
severe depression
flare of restless legs
insomnia
migrating joint pain
inability to think, exercise, plan
increase nervous system hyperirritability
exhaustion
fatigue
inability to be present for my 3 year old son
wanting to escape into book, magazines, computer
strange feeling of hypoxia or hypoglycemia - since beginning tx for Bb and Babs 3/05, I have eaten almost no refined sugar and now I have to have it or else I feel like I'll faint - my blood pressure is normal

Today is the first "better day" I've had since starting Lev on 7/20. Two more months to go if I can hack it.
