I developed a yeast infection while on my ABX (Biaxin). LLMD prescribed diflucan & Nystatin.

I forgot to ask if it is ok to stay on ABX while I take the Diflucan???

Anyone else have this situation?

Anytime this happens you can always call the pharmacist and ask if there are any drug inter-reactions with what you are taking.

Biaxin is a clarithromycin and I doubt if it will interfere with the diflucan.

It may even be beneficial...in that the doc from germany uses diflucan and penicillin as treatment for lyme...

Oh yes. LOTS of us have taken Diflucan and/or Nystatin while on abx. I took Nystatin the entire time I was on abx. It's very safe.
