After 6 weeks on 3 antibiotics (which I know is not very long), I saw my LLMD yesterday and he was very surprised that I had no change. He thinks something is blocking the antibiotics (something with the liver on my Medametrix) and now wants me off them and has put me on a 28-day detox program. I'll see him again in 5 weeks, have blood work the week before, and then he'll probably restart the antibiotics.

Anyone else ever heard of this or gone through something like this? If so, was it successful? I've had this for probably 20 years so he said my "body is being stubborn".

Sorry to hear that you haven't seen any changes with your treatment yet.

There are many here that have more experience with this than I do, however I must say that I am a little curious as to why he stopped the abx.

Did he find high liver enz. in your bloodwork and then take you off?

Well in any case if he is a good llmd thn he must have his reasons........
