I am on minocycline 75 mgs every other day untill I can start the mp...the problem that I have is that I cant stop the mino...I get sick after two to three weeks..flu like symptoms and runny nose...its seems as if the immune system is active against something..if I take the mino again it stops and the sick feeling goes away...mino has imuune modulation properties..as well as an antibiotic..so the question is what to do? stop the antibiotic and see what happens? keep taking the antibiotic and see what happens? I feel that there is a microbe in the body that the immune system cant kill...and that is why I get sick if I stop...what do you all think? eric

Minocycline has anti-inflammatory benefits. Maybe the mino is keeping down inflammation from sinusitis which could be caused by either a virus or a bacteria that the mino won't kill.
Mino has a fairly long half life, maybe it is taking a while to get out of your system and get rid of the benefical side effects.
