My husband is starting on Tindamax (in addition to Ketek), and would like some input on how much and how often. Pulse like Flagyl, or just take it long term? Thanks,
Kristie

i have taken tindimax on a 5 days on 2 days off every other week. at one point in my treatment i took tinidazole nonstop for 125 days. somewhere after the 110th day i started developing neuropathies. fortunately they dissipated after stopping the drug. Dr said anything more than 90 days usually results in some type of side effects.

it really hasn't been a difficult drug to take other than the very first herx. knocked me out flat on my back for 3-4 days with a killer headache. dose has been 500 mg 2 or 3 times per day.

good luck

I just switched from Flagyl which was pulsed at 14days on 14 off at 500 mg twice a day. Now I'm on my 14th day of Tindamax at 1000mg twice a day. Other than a metallic taste in my mouth I feel better on the Tini- not as depressed as Flagyl. I haven't decided how or whether to pulse the Tini. Maybe I'll go 21 days on then 7 off or something like that. Also am on Ketek 800mg a day.
