Hi All

for about the last 3 months I have stunk
like a damp homeless guy and his 3 dogs --

I have been having to take 5 showers aday-

My pee smells Horiable and Very dark

About 6 weeks ago I started mepron -Again-
for babs--

Now in the last 5 days my pee color has
cleared up and it smells perty good(Perfume)

My BO is Much better also--
and almost smell good (Cake or Stake) not sure

About 2 weeks ago I had a crazy skin rash
that poped out on my face and neck-
Quickly 1 hour-

It was red and bumpy and it hurt somewhat-
Dry -scalie- whitish
this rash went away in 3 days(Poof Gone)

I also had a rash that poped out at the
same time that looked like a lone pimples
that Really hurt(nerve) in 5 places on me-
(back hand -arm -elbow-leg-)

2 days later
I also got some small white blisters that
popped out on my Hands- palms only (many)

These blisters came from about 3 layers
deep in my skin--

The blisters would form in 10 minutes or less-
I could watch them - Crazy-

The blisters would break(Dry)
and the skin around them would peal away--
Quickly--

the blister area is alittle tinder now---

I think maybe the Babs in my skin or Babs
toxins in my skin and body are getting
flushed out--or dying--

Over the last 2 months some of my Babs symptoms
have creeped back--Damit--

over the last 2 weeks my nite sweats have
returned (neck area only)not whole body-
perty bad tho-

The heart palps have showed up again also-
Not real bad tho --only at night-

Over all I am feeling perty good--
If I could get some sleep I think
I would be doing Much better--

Im perty sure I have the Genius Book
worlds record for-- No Sleep--
(before I got sick I thought sleep
was a waste of time) -Ouch-

I sure hope the BO and smellie pee are gone
forever--so do my friends--Jay--

Jay, you crack me up!

Actually, you said something interesting...I just fell into a babs relapse myself after 4 months of treatment -- stopped the mepron, and poof! Revenge of Babesia, volume 2: the nightmare continues...

I broke out in an acne-like rash over my chest, shoulders, and a little on my face. I wondered if maybe it is related to the night sweats, which are back with a vengeance.... clogged pores, maybe? Anyhow, the rash and the babs seem to be connected.

I think we may need some audio/smell footage of the actual stink [Big Grin]

seriously, it does sound like a major die off with the toxins trying to find away out of your body.

As far as the sweat & heart palps. I think all hell may break lose and your symptoms may get worse for a time. Mine did. But eventually they will get better.

hang in there [group hug]

yep. Having lyme really stinks. Big time. Literarly & figuratively(I know I shouldn't use words I can't spell) [Smile]

Yup, had the rash and the stink for a few weeks while off meds. Figured it was because I added some animal protein and dairy back into my (otherwise macro) diet, at the urging of a nutritionist.

Am back on meds AND back to my mostly macro lifestyle and the rashes are gone and the stink is much more pleasant.

Babs stinks!

Actually,

I have heard people from other lists talk about this same problem. Maybe the critters release a stench as they die off?

Hi All

Yep I think the rash is a symptom of Babs--

I will explain--
I have Lyme and Babs --Un DX 18 yrs-

Threw time
I noticed that when a joint pain would
flair up on a certian joint -(Babs)

I would get a small rash on that joint
a 2 or 3 days before the pain flair up--

The rash was small red bumps with what
looked like a small white scabe-Ruff--

the bumps were mostly spread out around
whole body--not clusters--

Some of the bumps hurt when
scratched- most did not -

When scratched some of the bumps had a nerve
effect that you would feel the scratch
in another part of the body-
scratch hand--feel in on back--crazy--

All bumps Itched Real Baddddddd-
Almost drove me Crazzier-Im Serious--

The experance that finally convenced
me about the connection was--

the rash formed clusters of bumps
on both of my shoulders- about 150
bumps per shoulder--

This was by far the most I had ever
had bumps clustered like this--

3 days later when I woke up I could not
move my arm -At All - I was face down
in bed and I could not move --
Was Real Scairy-

The pain in my shoulders was Extreme--
Perty much lost the use of my arm
for about 2 months--Ouch--

After about 8 months the Bumps (rash)
started to slowely go away--
my shoulder pain also lessened also --

A year or so later-
As soon as I added Babs treatment the
rash started to lessen- Quickly-

Now after 14 months of Babs treatment- Also-
the rash is almost compleatly gone--

The rash except for the Itching would
be Easy for you over look as a symptom --

Im perty sure this rash would be
real easy to over look (miss)
at a doctor visit-

The 5 bumps I now have Look like
a Bigger version of the rash above--
almost exact --and are going away -

I sure hope its these nasty little critters
last day in the Sun Shine--Jay--

Hi,

I just wanted to add that I have "the stink" currently on Biaxin XL and also had it when on Zithromax, but not on other abx. For me, it appears when on macrolides only.

"3 days later when I woke up I could not
move my arm -At All "

Is this a specific babs symptom??-Happened to me once (maybe when this all started???) Was quite frightening-had to actually lift one arm with the other to move it-

Wasn't tested for coinfections & only showing band 41 for Lyme-Is it time for the tonic minus the vodka [Frown]

Don't mean to hijack a thread (again.. [Smile] ) but seemed like an odd & familiar symptom you've related-trying to process it all!

Well, I stink too, and I'm not taking abx - just natural stuff.

*sign* Sometimes it is so bad that I'm tempted to just burn my pajamas instead of try to wash them.

yes, i have babs and used to always be searching for that putred stench that i was sure was coming from my dogs farting... til one day they were no where to be found, just me... and the source was discovered...

I think thats why i still have my dogs, just so I can blame the curious odor on them when others question! (kidding...sorta)

Anyway, they cant be blamed for my breath, which could literally drop a cow on a good day...
and...
I guess i now know why i got such huge ugly boil like pimples too... never realized it was from babs and its one of those questions that always gets forgotten during the doc visits...

What is the deal with the stench? My urine and sweat smells TERRIBLE and I am not on abx right now. Is this a Lyme symptom or a symptom of any other disorder for that matter?
