I just got the Igenex invoice for the credit card slip from Igenex and wondered how this corresponds to when the doctors will have results.

Or is this just acknowledging that they received the blood and it will be still awhile before the doctor knows anything?

Next question, IF it is positive, do they start abx at this appointment or at a later date? I'm just trying to find out what to expect.

Thank you to anyone that can speak about their experiences with this procedure.

My doctor's office called with my Igenex results about 2 1/2 weeks after the blood was drawn. If the test is positive you probably will start treatment right away.

Cathy, I saw my LLMD last week for the first time also. She drew blood to send to IGeneX and I was told expect results in 2-3 weeks.

She went ahead and put me on antibiotics right away - 400mg doxycycline daily and 250mg flagyl daily.

I too am anxious for results!

[confused]

Every dr is different, but the test takes about 3 wks to get the results in most cases.

Good luck and post your results here when you get them!!

Thanks for all that replied. I know I've acting overly anxious after doing the runaround of M.D. for almost five years.

I was kind of hoping that the invoice might mean something and they are earlier, but yes, I too was told 2 1/2 to 3 weeks for the test results.

I guess I just let imagination get away and wishful thinking.

As far as the tests done, I have the entire list on the envoice down stairs but my walking is impaired. I can get down the stairs but not back up yet, so will work off memory.

I know there were two Ig some other letters and they were two letters and was told basically it was for lyme and the co infections. The invoice is just short of $800 if that gives any clue as to what he ran. ALL was blood work from three tubes. No urine.

My appointment isn't til the beginning of next month but they said they will be moving it up as soon as the results come in.

So the pins and needles are not only from waiting but I guess it goes well with the tingling extremies, my brain impairment, anxiety, and a medical history list too long to mention.

But seriously....thank you for your imput and I do appreciate the guidance and info.

Cathy, I just looked at my 2nd set done by IGENEX.

drawn 4-20-06
recd 4-24-06

PRINTED 5-2-06; IGX told me before it takes them 1 week to do the tests needed .

They they FAX PROMPTLY results to your dr.call them to check on things saying you got their billing, but have NOT heard the results yet.

So since you have their invoice on printing, call them to check on things saying you got their billing, but have NOT heard the results yet. ASK THEM IF THEY FAXED THE RESULTS & MAILED PAPER COPY! Mine were lost by someone/some place for 4-5 wks!

They will tell you to call your MD; MD CAN TELL YOU OVER THE PHONE THE RESULTS! Ask them to send you a copy of ALL blood tests done on you since it was more than the western blot igm & igg,
possibly co-infections PANEL testing.

I'd also get a copy from your MD what specific tests he had done on you; helps to clarify things.

What I have in front of me as I type this doesn't have the $$ paid, but pretty sure it was $900 all paid by medicare except $60 for something unusual!
